Gloucestershire Cave Rescue Group

Gloucestershire Cave Rescue Group (GCRG) exists primarily to provide a service to cavers in the Forest of Dean area.

Recently, it also provides rescue services to the coal and stone mines in the Forest of Dean. GCRG is also closely involved in assisting local cave rescue teams in other areas.

Gloucestershire Cave Rescue Group (GCRG) was formed in 1962 by local cavers who recognised the need for cave rescue facilities in an area that was fast growing in popularity.
